Abstract
In El framing de la comunicación política. Las mañaneras 2018-2022 proposes the framing model of political communication, whose foundations are found in the theories of frames and framing. While frames are cognitive structures of memory that allow us to interpret reality, framing constitutes the discursive process through which these frames are made visible and communicated. Framing means making an invisible frame visible. According to this book, former President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) managed to make visible the frame of corruption that remained invisible, legitimized by the symbolic elites that exercise power through discourse: intellectuals, scientists, politicians, businessmen, social leaders and journalists. The model is applied to the analysis of presidential communication during the first four years of the morning conferences, with the purpose of describing and analyzing how a leader builds and consolidates the hegemony of a party-movement.
