Community culture in Mexico

This article focuses on community-based policies in Latin America, specially the Mexican case. The autor reviews different stages of cultural community projects in Mexico, which range from programs promoted by the government administration to community activities that arise autonomously from the groups themselves. In the case of Mexico, there’s a strong image of indigenous communities in the matter of community policies, which has long conditioned the meaning of public policies in this area.
